A technical briefing will take place in Blackrock Education Centre on Tuesday June 11th at 5:00 p.m. 
 
This briefing will deal with the technical aspects of your 100 Mb connection to the school, but of equal importance, how this broadband can be most effectively distributed throughout the entire school.
 
The briefing will be given by Tom Lonergan of PDST / Technology in Education (formerly NCTE).  Tom has particular expertise in the types of wireless solutions that will and will not work in school settings.  Some schools have made costly mistakes in the past when installing wireless.  We are anxious that these mistakes will not be repeated.

Free introductory lecture on Wednesday, 12th December, at 7.30 pm. Course commences on 23rd January. Venue: Blackrock Education Centre

This programme aims to equip learners with the knowledge, skill and competence to effectively build, maintain and repair relationships, and to manage and resolve situations of conflict in personal, social and work life, using restorative approaches. Introductory Workshop on Tuesday 27th November, 4.00 pm

The Something Fishy project is an annual collaboration between Education Centres nationally and Inland Fisheries Ireland.

FETAC Quality Assurance Parchment presentation was made to Blackrock Education Centre, represented by Seamus Cannon, Director, by the Minister for Lifelong Learning, Mr Sean Haughey T.D. on Monday, 14th February 2011 in Clontarf Castle.

Newly qualified post primary teachers will have an opportunity to meet with their peers and participate in a structured induction programme starting later in October. Please keep an eye out for details of the schedule which will be posted shortly
