22 June
Killiney Hill Car Park
Our walk through the Killiney rights of way on the evening of 18th May 2016 had a full attendance and was deemed most enjoyable by the participants. The walk has a rich set of historical and geographical attractions along pathways and hill tracks that are surprisingly rural. A subject of much interest for the first group, in addition to the monastic site and the mass rock on Roches Hill, was the large number of Victorian mansions built in Killiney during the nineteenth century together with stories about the families who lived in them.A number of those who came along have asked to have a second tour of the route. Others who were unable to attend on the 18th May have also asked for a re-run. A second guided walk has been arranged for June 22nd. Meeting point is in the Killiney Hill car park
