Practicing mindfulness has implications for our happiness, resilience to stress and our health. This course is for teachers who are looking for an introduction to mindfulness or for those who wish to deepen their knowledge and practice of mindfulness. It will include practices of connecting to the breath, body awareness, mindful eating and mindful movement. Giving this time to ourselves will enable us to become more mindful as teachers and this is the first step to introducing mindfulness into our classrooms. We will look at simple mindfulness exercises that we can incorporate into our everyday lives and in our classrooms.
