Opportunities for Learning Support Teachers

Blackrock Education Centre is currently looking for experienced Learning Support teachers interested in further training with a view to supporting local teachers as mentor and tutor.
Also, the DES funds a number of places on Post Graduate Learning Support Programmes every year.

The Department of Education and Skills currently funds the provision of a number of Post Graduate Programmes as follows:

The Combined Post Graduate Diploma Programme of CPD for Teachers involved in Learning Support & Special Education (Circular 0001/2014), available in seven Universities/Colleges of Education.
The Post Grad Cert/Diploma Programme of CPD for Teachers working with Students with SEN (ASD) (Circular 0002/2014) provided by St. Angela’s College, Sligo in collaboration with the SESS.
The Graduate Cert in the Education of Students with ASDs (Circular 0003/2014) provided by St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra, Dublin 9.
