PDST are offering new RSE full-day seminars this term. The focus of the seminar will be primarily on teaching the sensitive elements of RSE from Infants to Sixth class, in the context of Social, Personal and Health Education. The course will be experiential and practical in its approach.

The PDST Health and Wellbeing Team is delighted to extend the Getting to Know You….Creatively seminar to all Education Centres this year. The seminar was piloted successfully in a select number of Education Centres during Term 3 of the 2017-2018 school year.
This seminar aims to explore the Visual Arts (Fabric and fibre / Construction) as a meaningful context for fostering positive self-identity and personal wellbeing and to facilitate the effective integration of SPHE and Visual Arts to support the children’s emotional literacy. By attending this seminar, participants will:

PDST Health & Wellbeing Team are delighted to offer a range of seminars to support the teaching of SPHE in Post-Primary school. All seminars come with full substitution and are open to all SPHE teachers
. The courses are designed to support teachers that are using either the SPHE Syllabus or the Junior Cycle Short Course for SPHE. Full attendance by the same teacher at both days of two day courses is required.

This seminar builds on Mental Health 1 and addresses issues including change, loss, bereavement and Mental Ill- Health and looks at ways of supporting young people through the teaching of SPHE. Participants receive the 'WTO through SPHE' DVD and lesson pack. It is recommended that participants have completed the Introduction to SPHE prior to doing this course
