By completing this course, Teachers should be able to:
Engage all school stakeholders in assessing the usefulness and application of the forest school pedagogy within their school through the use of SSE techniques.
Outline, promote and use the forest school teaching methodologies within their school environs on a regular basis.
Facilitate and be confident in the creation, design and utilisation of the outdoors as an extension to their classroom and interactive learning environment.
Adeptly use the outdoors to create unique and challenging learning opportunities for their students that link classroom learning across a number of curricular subjects to promote and enhance STEM activities, numeracy, literacy and wellbeing learning.
Integrate the use of ICT, through engagement with Apps and website resources to further enhance and extend the experience of the learner outside and inside the classroom.
Work safely in the outdoors and risk assess activities easily to keep learners and teachers safe.
Create a Learning Record of their experiences and activities to use in the future.
The booking fee is non-refundable. All Summer Courses qualify for EPV days provided you complete the full course over 5 days. Blackrock Education Centre has the right to cancel a course if we DO NOT have the minimum numbers required.
